The Sims 1 + Expansion | Game in The Sims series is more of a sandbox game in that they lack a defined purpose (except for a couple of expansion packs and then the console version that introduced this style of gameplay). Player creates virtual people called "Sims" and places them in houses and helps direct their moods and satisfy their desires. Players can place their Sims in pre-constructed homes or build them themselves. Each successive expansion pack and game in the series plus what players can do with their Sims.
The Sims is a strategic simulation computer game created by game designer Will Wright, published by Maxis, and distributed by Electronic Arts. This game is a simulation of the daily activities in the household. On February 4, 2000, the game has sold more than 16 million copies making the biggest selling computer game in history.
The Sims focuses on the lives of virtual people called Sims. The player can control the day-to-day activities of Sims, as he was sleeping, eating, reading, or bathing. Will Wright, the designer of this game, called The Sims as a game playhouse digital (digital "Dollhouse").
Game Sims Series

The Sims is the first game in the series. Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, it was released for Microsoft Windows in February 2000. The game uses an isometric projection and features an open simulation of the daily activities of one or more virtual people ("Sims") in a suburban area near SimCity. Seven expansion packs and two bonafide deluxe edition with exclusive content has been released for this game. Electronic Arts released The Sims 2 on September 14, 2004. Sequel, developed by Maxis, took place in a full 3D environment as opposed to the projection dimetric from the original game. Sims also age through six stages of life from infancy to old age and subsequent death. Another major feature is the aspiration system. It should be noted that the development is handed over from generation to Maxis Sims Division sometime during 2008, with the former studio focusing resources on the next project.

Electronic Arts The Sims 3 released to retailers worldwide and available by digital download on June 2, 2009. Sequel, developed by The Sims Studio, published by EA in November 2006. The game is set 25 years before the original game and features an open, seamless environment, enhanced tools for making sim, improved build and buy mode function, and the introduction of desires and goals. The game also introduces a new form of gameplay is directed through a small, step-wise goals are presented as opportunities that players can choose to pursue or reject. The Sims 3 sold 1.4 million copies in its first week, making it the biggest release in the history of PC games at the time. The game has sold over 10 million copies worldwide since its release.
